VQF Utilites
Players:
K-jofol
- The Winamp of VQF. Y'all know how much ass Winamp kicked, so
y'all better use this to play the VQFs here. It also plays MP3s
too. But it seems to mess up sometimes... but it still good.
Winamp
Plugin - Just making Winamp play VQFs. Improving on an
already phat MP3 player. Only works for Winamp 2.05 though...
Encoders:
Yamaha
Sound VQ Encoder - The best I've seen so far. Fast, but takes
alot of system resources. That means when you use it, your whole
computer goes slow. Not sure what the system requirements are
exactly, but I'm running a Pentium II with 300hrz, and it still
slows down... that should give ya a lil' idea of the system
resource use.....
Decoders:
K-jofol
- The only one I've seen so far. You go to K-jofol's options and
click on "Output" and choose "Enable Output To
WAV." Then give it a name in the box and whatever folder the
VQF file you're playing is where the WAV file is outputed to. To
decode the song, the whole song has to play, but make sure you
cross out the option of outputing when you're done, unless you
want to do another one. The WAV files will save over each other
if you don't rename the output for the WAV file though....
Miscellaneous:
Getright
- Lets you resume downloads. This means you can download a part
of something, pause, come back later, and then finish the
download. Nice lil' idea somone had....
